About Me
My professional journey began in 2013. After completing an MSc in Psychology and an MSc in Investigative Psychology, I spent three years with the Metropolitan Police Service, specialising in child protection. This experience deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the impact of early relationships on emotional wellbeing.
I went on to complete doctoral training in Forensic Psychology, working predominantly with young people in both community and secure settings. My doctoral research explored the psychological processes of change involved in gang-related transitions — a study that strengthened my interest in how people navigate profound personal and social change.
After qualifying, I joined the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway in a long-term high secure prison, providing specialist therapy for high-risk men often described as ‘stuck’ within the criminal justice system. During this time, I developed a particular interest in individuals serving Indeterminate Sentences for Public Protection (IPP) and led a service initiative to enhance psychological support and progression opportunities for this group. Alongside this, I held a clinical leadership role, overseeing the therapies provision for the service.
Through years of working with individuals with highly disrupted attachment histories across forensic and personality disorder services, I developed an expertise in integrative, relational approaches to therapy — particularly Schema Therapy, for which I am currently working towards accreditation with the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). I also incorporate EMDR, both as a standalone therapy and as part of a broader integrative approach.
I now work exclusively in private practice, drawing on my forensic and clinical experience to support people facing complex emotional and psychological difficulties, including trauma, relational challenges, and difficulties with emotional regulation. I also work with individuals who have concerns about personal safety or risk to others, providing a safe and non-judgemental space to explore these issues.
In addition to my therapeutic work, I provide expert witness psychological assessments and reports for courts and Parole Boards. I am also registered with the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS) and offer supervision to both Forensic Psychologists in Training and qualified psychologists
