Consultancy and Training
Alongside my clinical work, I work with organisations who deal with complexity and risk every day including police, youth justice services, secure services, social care. I also support charities working with complex or high-risk service users. I want teams to feel confident, rather than overwhelmed, by the people in front of them.
-

Consultancy
I help teams make sense of the cases where risk and complex needs are tangled together. Drawing on experience from my time working in Offender Personality Disorder Services, I help teams turn their hardest, most unsettling cases into ones they feel equipped to handle
-

Training
I design and deliver bespoke training packages that are responsive to the needs of your team and organisation. I shape every session around what your team actually needs, from foundational understanding to advanced clinical skill
Current Workshops
-
A half-day workshop for police and other frontline organisations, helping staff to recognise trauma responses in themselves and their colleagues, and know what to do about it.
-
What trauma actually looks like day-to-day — not just PTSD, but the quieter signs: exhaustion, numbness, irritability, withdrawal
Why frontline roles carry particular risk, and why "just carrying on" often makes things worse, not better
How to support a colleague who might be struggling, without overstepping
Where to go for help, including how a referral pathway like Frontline Trauma Support works
-
This session works well as a standalone workshop, or as the starting point for a more tailored package.

Understanding and Supporting Trauma in Frontline Teams
Making Sense of Complexity and Risk
-
A half-day workshop for youth justice, social care, and criminal justice teams, helping staff make sense of the complexity, risk, and trauma histories in the people they work with.
Working with people who present real risk — to themselves or others — is unsettling when you don't have a framework for understanding why. This session draws on my background in forensic risk assessment to give your team practical, non-technical ways to understand what's driving someone's behaviour, without needing a clinical qualification to do it.
-
How trauma, risk, and personality can show up together — and why they're often mistaken for each other
Practical ways to think about risk day-to-day, without needing formal risk assessment tools
How to hold complexity and uncertainty without becoming overwhelmed or avoidant
When and how to escalate concerns, and what "good enough" understanding looks like at your level

This session works well as a standalone workshop, or as the starting point for a more tailored package.
